Warehousing

  PTLK owns a network of indoor and outdoor storage facilities, licensed customs warehouses and temporary storage facilities. All the listed premises are equipped with the necessary equipment, firefighting installations, video surveillance and alarm systems.

Cargo consolidation

 Cargo consolidation or unitization – the process of collecting and storing small consignments for subsequent shipment on a single bill of lading. Cargo consolidation of goods is done to optimize cargo transportation and reduce shipping costs. With proper unitization, goods are accumulated in the warehouse, sorted, formed in batches and sent for transportation at the highest possible speed. Thus, client’s funds are saved without significant time loss.

 Cargo consolidation includes:

• Receiving the goods directly from the customer. Our company provides the service of cargo delivery to the warehouse by our own transport, organizing hand-to-hand delivery.
• Packaging of goods. Since not all cargos have safe packaging for transportation, the company's experts repackage them. This ensures the safety of the goods during loading, delivery and offloading operations.
• Taring. Determining the exact weight and volume of the cargo is necessary for the preparation of accompanying documentation and calculation of the cost of delivery.
• Sorting. Cargos during unitization are not only collected in one batch, but also distributed according to the principle of storage conditions and inventory of goods.

Packaging of goods

  Packaging of goods is necessary not only to ensure its safety.

 In the warehouses of PTLK, the following packaging works are carried out:

• Palletizing – installing and fixing cargo on pallets (special crates). Pallets are made in accordance with national standards and have optimal sizes for transportation and loading-offloading operations.
• Packing – packaging of cargo in a special transport pack.
